I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. Allow me, Ronald Savage, the founder of Hip Hop Stands with Survivors Inc., to bring forth important information regarding our organization to your esteemed attention. As a survivor who took place in the NYS Child Victims Act in 2016 and a representative of this official registered entity, I am committed to upholding a professional and respectful discourse.
It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Hip Hop Stands with Survivors is officially recognized as a registered organization in New York State, under the registration number DOS ID: xxxxcxx. Furthermore, our name, Hip Hop Stands with Survivors, has also received service mark registration in the state of New York, bearing the registration number xxxxc. Presently, we eagerly await the confirmation of our United States service mark for Hip Hop Stands with Survivors, under the serial number 97870799.
The purpose of this correspondence is to address an issue regarding an individual named Lelia Wills, hailing from Chicago, who has been utilizing our organization's name without any legal entitlement. According to the state of New York, Ms. Wills lacks the requisite authority to conduct business under the name Hip Hop Stands with Survivors. It is imperative to emphasize that we harbor no intention to bewilder or associate ourselves with this individual or her organization. On the contrary, we stand apart from Ms. Wills and her endeavors.
I therefore humbly and respectfully request that any business transaction with Ms. Wills, should she refer to herself or her organization as Hip Hop Stands with Survivors, be avoided. It has come to our attention that she has engaged in defamatory behavior towards The Hip Hop Museum in the Bronx, baselessly maligning their reputation without presenting any supporting evidence or facts. Let me unequivocally state that Hip Hop Stands with Survivors Inc. wholeheartedly supports The Hip Hop Museum, and as an organization, we adhere to principles of integrity, refraining from slandering, harassing, or spreading falsehoods about individuals or entities.
It has been distressing to witness Ms. Wills' audacious claim that we infringed upon her name and unlawfully filed for a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her assertions are, in truth, a manifestation of her delusions. It is important to clarify that I, Ronald Savage, first vocalized the phrase "Hip Hop Stands with Survivors" back in 2016, when I courageously shared my personal truth regarding being a survivor of molestation with the New York City Daily News. Regrettably, Ms. Wills has propagated our mark extensively on various YouTube platforms, and we are actively working towards rectifying this infringement.
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to visit our website at www.hiphopstandswithsurvivors.org. Alternatively, feel free to reach out to me directly at xxxxc or via email at officialhiphopmovement@gmail.com
In our commitment to the betterment of society, we remain steadfast champions for survivors, amplifying their voices through the resonating power of hip hop. Your understanding and support in this matter would be greatly appreciated and contribute to the preservation of our organization's integrity.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Ronald Savage
Founder, Hip Hop Stands with Survivors Inc.
